How to Come Pakistan

If you are traveling from the west, by road the legendary Khyber Pass on the Pakistan side of the Afghan-Pakistan border will lead you to the country. Only 56 km 35 miles from the border is the city of Peshawar, but even at the border check-post of, Torkham basic amenities are available at the tourist complex.Another point of entry from Afghanistan to Pakistan border post of CHAMAN, which lead on to the pleasant town of Quetta, 129 km 80 miles East. However, the above two points have temporarily closed due to the unsettle condition in Afghanistan.If you are motoring in from Iran, 724 km 450 miles journey will take you from the border Quetta. The road from Quetta branches at Rohri for (Lahore and Karachi is 400, 250 miles respectively).
If you are motoring from India, the India Pakistan border at Wagah will lead you in or out of Pakistan. Wagah is only 27 km 17 miles from the historical city of Lahore .From the Lahore the road branches north- west to Islamabad-Rawalpindi and South to Karachi. The other point of entry is Gandashinghwala (Near Lahore and Khokhrapar (Near Hyderabad). On Pakistan- India border, but due to present situation this is closed. Ocean liners sail into Karachi Harbour, thus linking this sea- port to the rest of the world. If one travels by air, there is hardly any international air line flying east or west which does not touch down at Karachi, one of the most important Air Junctions in Asia. The Pakistan International Air Line (PIA) which links with the most major capitals of the world with Cities of Pakistan also operate a network of domestic services connection all the principal Cities and town of Pakistan. The Pakistan Railways connect Karachi with all major and minor cities/towns of the country. Numerous regular buses and minibuses services also connect the large and small towns and villages of Pakistan by road. Both air conditioned and non air conditioned tourist transport is available in major towns.

Though the precise definition of ecotourism remains ambiguous even within the circles of tourism experts but the simplest and most widely accepted definition of Ecotourism, developed by the Ecotourism Society, USA is: "Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and sustains the well being of local people".
